2008 Region Audition Materials
The following are the required excerpts and scales for the Fall 2008 SCMEA Region orchestras. Click on the link below to download the desired excerpt or junior scale. REMINDER: The region audition will consist of playing one scale from the announced list, the excerpts (in their entirety), and a sight-reading excerpt. Sponsors will need to register their students in order to receive an audition time (on-line registration will be available at the beginning of the 2008/2009 school year).

Senior Level Excerpts
Senior Level Scale Requirements
Major Scales: C, F, B-flat, G, D
Minor Scales (melodic): a, d, g, e
Play the upper 2 octaves (for violin, viola, and cello); 2 octaves for Bass. Scales should be performed with quarter note per scale degree, separate bows at a speed of quarter = 80
